Some were horse girls, I was a snake girl. I'll never forget the day my mom and I went into Petco and someone had put up a sign saying they needed to rehome their snake. THIS WAS FINALLY MY MOMENT. A few days later I brought him home and named him Jake (yes, Jake the Snake). I frickin' loved Jake. Another unforgettable day was when my mom picked me up from school informing me that she had accidentally left his habitat open and he was lost. I was crushed. He was never to be seen again. She felt so bad that on ANOTHER unforgettable day she picked me up from school with a little box with a baby snake in it. I was SO excited and named it Boo because Monsters Inc had just come out. Unfortunately before long my mom also accidentally let that one out, never to be seen again, and that was the end of my snake owning career.
So here is my necklace paying homage to my iconic Steve Irwin days. RIP Jake.
